Using virtual reality learning environments to motivate and socialize undergraduates in distance learning

Interest in virtual reality technologies has increased significantly recent years, and an effort is being made to integrate it into educational environments. This study aims investigate the impact of synchronous distance courses Virtual Reality (VR) learning environment (via vAcademia) Web-based Adobe Connect) on undergraduate students' motivation levels perceived sociability. The sample was conducted with experimental control group (Web-based) quasi-experimental design consists 41 students (experimental: 21, control: 20). As a result t-test two-way ANOVA analysis, there significant difference between groups favor VR regarding sociability 3D were higher than web-based environment. It also found out that did not vary depending gender or technological device (smartphone computer) use when connecting online classes. research results indicated effectively ensured process. In this context, institutions should be aware importance plan teach accordingly which may make process more efficient.
